Now that you know just a few of the tips and tricks available to you whenever you are filing a car insurance claim, there are a few more that we are going to touch on.  For example, staking your claim extremely quickly?  Did you know about that one?  That is a huge one, actually, the faster that you stake your claim, the better off that you are going to be.  If you have any questions about your policy too, the time to ask is before you need to make a claim, remember that.

Next, you want to make sure that you get a copy of your police report.  If your claim involves any collisions, you need to file a police report and make sure that you keep a copy.  Also get the name, address, name of the other party’s insurance company and phone number before you leave the scene at all.  Also, while you are there, never ever admit fault or even offer to pay for any damages, it can jeopardize your insurance coverage.
